The Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy Job Board is a convenient way for SWOSU students, alumni and friends of the College of Pharmacy to learn about pharmacy job opportunities that have been submitted to the College of Pharmacy.

Job postings must be submitted to the SWOSU College of Pharmacy via email or fax. Pharmacy job postings are subject to approval by the SWOSU College of Pharmacy.

The online Pharmacy Job Board is updated regularly by the SWOSU College of Pharmacy. In addition to the online job postings for alumni and friends to view 24/7, the job postings will be emailed to the SWOSU College of Pharmacy P4 students.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The basic function of this position is to be responsible for safe and efficient methods for coordination of established pharmacy policy concerning drug patient care and provides clinical drug information to meet the needs of the patient and physician.

EDUCATION:

PharmD, DPh Degree

CPR Certification, Immunization, Certificatory Preceptor License

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

Oklahoma Pharmacist License in Good Standing

SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION:

This is a safety sensitive position because the employee is in the chain of dispensing medication. Applicant/employee will be drug tested at pre-employment and at random quarterly.

SKILLS:

  • Must be self-driven, hardworking, and efficient.
  • Must be able to accomplish tasks correctly on their own.
  • Must have solid organizational skills, take/process multiple orders and develop workflow.
  • Must be computer literate, in the specific Pharmacy based computer software.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, physicians, coworkers, and suppliers.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to perform in high stress/high-demand environment.

WORK HOUR EXPECTATIONS:

  • Part- Time. Two set days per week, alternating Saturdays and one Sunday afternoon per month. 18-26 hours weekly with PRN availability for other shifts.
  • Workdays between the hours of 8:15 am and 7:00 pm, as necessary

TASKS AND DUTIES OF JOB:

  • Responsible for being compliant with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Accomplish tasks delegated to by the PIC
  • Keep pharmacist licenses up to date
  • Culture: Keep a great working environment
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Responsible for following store inventory protocol
  • Being accurate and efficient when filling prescriptions
  • Oversee Clerks/Techs/Delivery (Auxiliary Employees)
  • Any task or duty assigned to you by your superior
  • Maintain current CE requirements
  • Administer Vaccines
  • Ordering (overseeing)
  • Oversee/manage all equipment
  • Complete MTM’s
  • Attend any mandatory meetings, trainings, conferences, and/or continuing education required

Associate Director, Educational Programming

Alexandria healthcare association (close to King Street Metro) is seeking experienced candidates for Associate Director, Educational Programming.  The position will be reporting to the Senior Director, Program Development. The NCPA education team aims to foster the advancement of community pharmacy practice by providing practical, business-focused CE and non-CE programming for community pharmacy teams.  As a key member of the education team, the candidate will be responsible for leading education and strategic initiatives as assigned, managing projects with multiple stakeholders, developing innovative programming, and coordinating logistics as needed. In addition, the Associate Director serves as the staff lead for the NCPA Steering Committee process and works closely with the NCPA Innovation Center to lead or support other strategic initiatives focused on the advancement of pharmacy practice as opportunities arise. The candidate should have a working knowledge of the business and professional issues of the community pharmacy market, excellent project management and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn NCPA's learning management system as well as continuing education standards and criteria (ACPE-Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education),. Some travel required; exposure to non-profit association is a plus.  Excellent benefits; salary commensurate with experience.

The director of pharmacy is responsible for all drug storage and drug preparation in the hospital. The director of pharmacy ensures that the pharmacy will provide optimal services, meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the hospital. The pharmacy director will be responsible to carry out the following: cart fill for admitted patients, monitor patient drug therapies, and drug purchasing/drug inventory management.  There are countless opportunities for involvement on various committees, process improvements and initiatives, and other projects.  This job is included in Elkview General Hospitals list of Safety Sensitive positions.
