Starting Fall 2021 all Experiential Education rotation students will be required to be up to date against COVID-19 (per CDC recommendations for healthcare workers). Students who have a medical or moral/religious conflict should contact Dr. Cox for information on how to request a waiver. Some sites will not accept students who are not fully vaccinated and/or have completed a waiver.
Students will be required to follow each site's COVID-19 policies. These policies may be more stringent than the SWOSU guidelines for rotations. The COP supports the use of masks to decrease the spread of the COVID-19 virus and students may choose to wear a mask at rotations sites.
If you are uncomfortable continuing with rotations because of concerns for your personal health or any accommodations that we make to deal with the current COVID-19 public health crisis, you can choose to withdraw from rotations. The rotations can be re-scheduled in the future when space is available. However, withdrawal or failure to complete any rotation could result in a delay in progression in the program and graduation. If you would like to discuss withdrawing from rotations, please contact the Director of Experiential Education, Dr. Cox.
