Southwestern Oklahoma State University's Fine Arts Center is intended primarily for the support of university-sponsored activities. The auditorium is designed to serve as an instructional facility and as a cultural center for the development of quality activities for western Oklahoma.

SWOSU is committed to:

  • Providing the students with a safe working environment
  • Providing professional technical services such as sound, lighting, stage and house management
  • Supporting departmental programs
  • Providing orientation and training for students completing on-the-job tasks
  • Accommodating any patrons with disabilities
  • Providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere for patrons
  • Assisting with providing students the opportunity to attend educational and/or cultural programs

Scheduling an Event in the Fine Arts Center

You must file an application with the Fine Arts Center director. University sponsored departments have first choice on date selection each academic year (August 1 - September 15).  Applications from the general public are accepted each academic year after September 15th.

  1. Applications can be picked up from the Fine Arts Center Office (FAC #3) or download the Fine Arts Center Application.
  2. Contact the Fine Arts Center Office via mail, phone, fax, or e-mail and an application will be forwarded at no cost.

Auditorium

The Fine Arts Center is capable of supporting most productions, including theatrical productions, music performances and dance recitals.

Pricing & Seating Capacity

  • $600 per day
  • $7.25 per hour for any and all labor required for setting up, running, and striking the event
  • $25 per hour for campus security - for non-SWOSU events

Directions

From the West:

Take I-40 to Weatherford Exit 80A. Follow the curve (you are on Main St.) and continue to Davis St. Turn right onto Davis St. and travel east to the Fine Arts Center located on the north side of Davis St.

From the East:

Take I-40 toward Weatherford and take the Airport Road Exit 84. Take the first left onto East Main access road until you reach the first stop sign. Continue straight (west) which turns into Davis St. Follow Davis St. until you reach the Fine Arts Center on the north side of the street.
